A review of the growth of labor arbitration and or membership in the Academy, and of the role of the parties in shaping the arbitration process to meet their needs. President Kahn urges the parties to mutually examine and recommend improvements in the design of the arbitration process, the conduct of the hearing and ways in which arbitrators can improve their performance.
