222 responses were received by the Academy in October 1970, which represented 60.5 percent of the membership at the time. Data was compared against results of the 1963 survey, where applicable. Included in the survey results are relative ages of arbitrators, a ranking of criteria essential to gaining acceptance as an arbitrator, and a comparison of caseloads attributable to ad hoc appointments and permanent umpireships.
