A description of the salary arbitration process for the Major League Baseball Players Association and baseball team owners, and recommendations for reforms that could bring greater fairness to the process and greater accuracy to the substantive determinations. The suggestions were offered in anticipation of the next round of bargaining (spring-summer 1994).
