The participants urge the Academy to be less a club and more an influential professional organization. The encourage the enforcement of professional standards and the filing of amicus briefs, and suggest law, medicine, the ministry and teaching as models for the professionalization of arbitration. And they urge the development of a clear plan for the education of new arbitrators.
