Report of the Committee on Overseas Correspondents
January 1, 1972
The Report examines the status of arbitration in France and Sweden. No significant developments or changes are noted in France, where labor arbitration is said to be in a state of lethargy. A proposal for establishment of a new labor court remains under study. In Sweden, labor disputes can be brought to the Arbetsmarknadsnamnden (Labor Market Council) following failed negotiations. The Committee briefly reports on the two (2) cases heard by that tribunal in 1971
